Ardmore-based engineer Doug Muth used Character.Ai to create a Gritty chabot. The simulation is built on the Flyers mascot’s Twitter and Wikipedia pages. PhillyVoice used the chatbot to ask Gritty about his celebrity friends, best presents, and favorite music. In the conversation, the mascot admitted to being a sore loser but said he’s a proponent of mental health treatment.

Phillies Make Progress on Installation of Citizens Bank Park’s Massive New Scoreboard

The Philadelphia Phillies will debut their massive, new 4K PhanaVision scoreboard at Citizens Bank Park for the 2023 home opener against the Cincinnati Reds on April 6. The team’s new scoreboard will be 77% larger than the previous scoreboard, which was installed in 2011. The new scoreboard measures 152 feet wide by 86 feet tall and weighs 116,298 pounds. It will be supported by 190 tons of structural steel.
